Michigan State is adding one more player to its 2019 recruiting class just weeks before the season starts.
Jalen Hunt, a three-star defensive lineman out of Belleville, Michigan, was originally committed to Iowa. Hunt even signed with the Hawkeyes in December.
Unfortunately, Hunt found out in the spring that he did not qualify academically. He shared on Twitter that he had to take an online course over the summer and retake the SAT. But after doing so, he is now joining Michigan State:

According to Matt Wenzel with MLive.com, Hunt said he is already enrolled with the Spartans. Hunt also believes he was released from the letter of intent he signed with Iowa, but he is unsure of his eligibility for 2019:
“If I’m eligible this year to play, I’m going to prove I’m worth being there,” Hunt said. “If I’m (not eligible), I’m just going to work out in the weight room and work out in the offseason to prepare for the next season.”
