Former Michigan State DL Jalen Hunt has found his new home. Hunt will continue his college football career at Houston.

He shared the news on social media.

Hunt heads to Houston after 4 seasons with the Spartans. Out of Belleville (Michigan), Hunt was a 3-star prospect with 21 scholarship offers.

Hunt redshirted in 2019, his first season at MSU. He was a 3-year letterwinner from 2020-22, making appearances.

In 2020, Hunt saw action in 5 games, including a start at defensive tackle, missing the final 2 due to injury. He recorded 5 tackles, including 4 solo stops and 2 tackles for loss.

Hunt logged double-digit appearances in the 2021 season. He started the Northwestern game, recording 5 tackles over 178 snaps at defensive tackle. For the season, he finished with 5 tackles (3 solo).

This past season, Hunt played in 7 games, including 3 starts. His starts came against Indiana (3 tackles, 21 snaps), Rutgers (4 tackles, 49 snaps) and Illinois (1 tackle, 53 snaps). Hunt finished the year with 9 tackles (5 solo).

Hunt has 2 seasons of eligibility remaining due to the 2020 season not counting, which MSU considered his redshirt freshman year.
