A former Michigan State commit and 4-star center has decided to play for a Pac-12 program.

247Sports reporter Travis Branham reported on Thursday that 4-star center Enoch Boakye has committed to Arizona State. He had previously given a verbal pledge to the Spartans but decommitted from the program in February.

Boakye told 247Sports that, after watching Arizona State play this season, he believes he can give the team an inside presence and make a quick impact early with the Sun Devils.

“I watched them play all season and I realized that they are like missing a big presence inside and I am excited to come in and fill in that role and impact right away,” Boakye told 247Sports. “I have also built a good relationship with coach Bobby Hurley. I can just tell that there is a sense of urgency and a need for a guy like me on the squad.”

Boakye ranks as the No. 4 center and and the No. 32 overall prospect in the class. However, he told 247Sports that he plans to reclassify as a member of the 2021 recruiting class for Arizona State.
