Former Michigan State signee Steffan Johnson has landed a new opportunity. Johnson shared that he’ll play at Garden City Community College in Kansas.

Johnson signed with MSU as part of the Spartans’ 2021 recruiting class, but was dismissed after he was arrested and charged for extortion directing or promoting sexual performance by a child. Michigan State cut ties with Johnson in April 2021.

Johnson indicated earlier this month he had received a new opportunity.

Out of Venice (Florida), Johnson was rated 3-stars, the No. 140 cornerback, No. 216 Sunshine State product and No. 1,580 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2021 on the 247Sports Composite. Johnson chose MSU over 9 other scholarship offers, including Virginia.
