A former Michigan State tight end is off to Bowling Green.

Tommy Guajardo tweeted on on Thursday that he has committed to Bowling Green after entering the transfer portal last month. The former Spartans tight end was one of nine players to enter the portal shortly after Michigan State concluded spring practice in late April.

Guajardo opted for the transfer portal after spending one season in East Lansing.

Guajardo still has all four years of eligibility remaining. He did not see the field for the Spartans during the 2020 season.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound tight end from Dearborn, Michigan was a 3-star prospect out of high school and ranked as the No. 30 tight end in the class and the No. 22 prospect from his home state.

Guajardo received several offers out of high school, with 23 schools reaching out. One of those was Bowling Green.
