Fourth Michigan State player under investigation for separate sexual assault probe
Michigan State’s off-the-field problems are not limited to the ongoing sexual assault investigation involving three Spartan players and an assistant coach.
A spokesman for the Ingham County Prosecutors’ Office confirmed to the Detroit Free Press that a fourth MSU player is under investigation by the Meridian Township Police for criminal sexual misconduct. According to the Free Press, the alleged incident took place east of East Lansing in Meridian Township.

No charges have been submitted to prosecutors, according to the report.
The incident was separate from the alleged Jan. 16 sexual assault that allegedly involved three MSU players and one assistant on campus.
Mark Dantonio confirmed during the B1G coaches teleconference on Wednesday that players had been suspended from the team since the spring game two weeks ago.
UPDATE: Michigan State confirmed that it was aware of the ongoing investigation. Mark Dantonio released a statement, in which he said that the player involved was suspended on Sunday upon MSU hearing about the investigation.
