Greg McElroy discusses Michigan State's rebound chances in Week 4 game vs. Minnesota
Greg McElroy talked about Michigan State’s chances to earn a rebound win against Minnesota in Week 4.
Michigan State suffered a double-digit road loss to Washington. The Spartans will be looking to bounce back at home against Minnesota. McElroy cautioned against the idea of Michigan State having an easy rebound game.
While speaking on “Always College Football,” McElroy outlined Michigan State’s challenge heading into this week’s Minnesota game. It could be a tough rebound game for Michigan State:
“I can tell you this, this is not the team I want to face when I’m in need of a rebound. I just think Minnesota is a handful,” McElroy said. “They’re really, really good. And so far this year, they’ve allowed 17 points.”
Minnesota is undefeated and is coming off a 49-7 win over Colorado. This will be Minnesota’s 1st road game of the season and the Golden Gophers are expected to give Michigan State a challenge:
“Minnesota’s the type of team they can travel… I’m not sure any of us really know what exactly Minnesota is at this point. I think they’re really good… but this is the real test for them.”
Michigan State will look to rebound from the loss to Washington. McElroy did not see the loss as a critique on the team Michigan State is:
“(The loss to Washington) was not an indicator to me of Michigan State not being good. That was an indicator of Washington being better than what people realized… This is a huge game this weekend,” McElroy said.
Kickoff between Michigan State and Minnesota will take place at 3:30 p.m. ET. in East Lansing.
