Here's what Mel Tucker said ahead of Michigan State's matchup vs. Miami
Michigan State is 2-0, matching their win-total from 2020 with just two weeks logged in the 2021 season. The wins over Northwestern and Youngstown State didn’t offer much of a challenge for Mel Tucker’s group, but this weekend the trip to South Florida to take on the Miami Hurricanes could prove tough.
Of course, that depends upon whether Miami decides to start playing or not.
While some have given the Spartans a chance to return to East Lansing with a 3-0 record, it’ll take Michigan State to continue with the momentum they’ve built in their first two games, and for Miami to continue to struggle. The Canes barely came away with a home-opening win over Appalachian State on Saturday, squeaking by with a 25-23 win.
