Jack Stone has announced that he will transfer to Baylor for the 2023 season and beyond. The former Michigan State kicker announced that he was leaving the program on Nov. 29.

Stone was ranked as one of the top kicking prospects of the 2022 class and hails from Dallas, TX. He will move much closer to home in Waco to play under Dave Aranda.

Stone handled kickoff duties for the Spartans all season. On kickoffs, he averaged 58.7 yards on 53 attempts and 13. Stone was 2-4 on field goals during the year, and his 51-yarder against then-No. 11 Penn State was the longest of the season for MSU.

He battled for place-kicking duties with Auburn transfer Ben Patton, to which Patton won, but his struggles gave way to some opportunities for Stone. However, neither kicker showed much consistency, and the team kicked just 12 field goals all year as a result.

Stone spent just one season with the Spartans and has three years of eligibility remaining.
