Jacoby Windmon, Xavier Henderson embracing MSU's underdog role vs. arch-rival Michigan
Jacoby Windmon and Xavier Henderson expect nothing less than to be the underdogs heading into the matchup with Michigan per The Detroit News’ Matt Charboneau.
ESPN’s FPI is heavily favoring Michigan in Ann Arbor, giving the Wolverines a 90.2% chance to win.
Although its Windmon’s first season with the program he knows that being counted out in a game like this can be a positive. Windmon will be focusing on what happens once the players get on the field.
“To be counted out means something,” said Windmon. “It’s really about when we step between those lines and what you do when the pads are popping.”

Henderson has been in this game before. Regardless of who’s favored in the matchup, Michigan State has won two straight against Michigan. Being an underdog is nothing new to him.
“We’re so used to it now,” said Henderson. “I just assume we’ll be underdogs.”
