Jaden Akins gave fans a positive update regarding his health Monday afternoon.

The sophomore guard said that he has felt 100% in the last two games since dealing with a stress reaction injury in his foot. He missed an extended period of time in the offseason and was brought along slowly to start the season.

“It’s a good sign moving forward,” Akins said.

Akins is averaging 8.1 points per game and 3.7 rebounds per game. If he can maintain his health it could be huge for Michigan State moving forward.

The Spartans have had an up-and-down start to the season with an 11-4 record. After picking up a big win against Kentucky in November, Michigan State has yet to pick up a big win and has dropped shockers to Notre Dame and Northwestern.

The Spartans will get a big test this week as they take on No. 18 Wisconsin on Tuesday. They will also take on Illinois and No. 3 Purdue this week to round out a tough stretch of games.
