Jalen Sami, a Michigan State defensive lineman who started his college career at Colorado, officially announced his intentions to enter the NFL Draft on Tuesday. He posted a message to his X account thanking his family, coaches, and teammates.

“Thank you to the University of Colorado and Michigan State University for the amazing memories through the years,” he wrote. “I’ve met brothers who’ve become usos and encountered many mentors who’ve helped mold my craft to perfection!”

A member of the Colorado roster for 4 seasons, Sami, a Colorado Springs, Colo. native, redshirted in 2018 and totaled 24 tackles and 1.5 tackles for a loss in 2019. After an abbreviated 2020 season, he was credited with 24 tackles and 4.0 TFLs in 2021.

He then joined Michigan State and was reunited with Mel Tucker, his head coach in Boulder in 2019. In his 1st season with the Spartans, he made 28 tackles and 3.0 stops for a loss. He would then total 15 tackles in 2023, but forced 4 fumbles and posted 0.5 sacks.
