Former Michigan State quarterback Brian Hoyer has had his opportunities around the NFL. Hoyer, now 30-years-old, is coming off a season with the Houston Texans while leading them to the playoffs.

The four-interception performance against the Chiefs in the first round wasn’t seen as good enough, as the Texans decided to sign Brock Osweiler. Hoyer would eventually land with Chicago, and as of today, Jay Cutler, the Bears’ starting quarterback, is listed as doubtful for Sunday.

Hoyer has a 15-11 career record as a starter in the NFL. At Michigan State, he threw 35 touchdowns to 23 interceptions.

Hoyer’s Bears will take on the Dallas Cowboys in “Jerry’s World” for Sunday Night Football, starting at 8:30 p.m.
