Joey Hauser was a fan of Michigan State’s ball movement in the 89-68 win over Buffalo.

This was Michigan State’s 1st game since the Christmas break and the Spartans did not show any rust on offense. Michigan State had a 9-day break between games and the Spartans managed to move the ball around.

Even with the win, Hauser noted how there were still some parts of the team’s game to work on (Via Detroit Free Press):

“We missed some open shots tonight. I think that just kind of happens,” Hauser said. “It’s the first game back from a break, but we had some open shots, though. That’s always a good sign of things. We just gotta knock them down. But (the ball) was moving pretty well.”

Hauser mentioned how Michigan State will need to work on making open shots. He found positive takeaways in the ability to have open shots throughout the game against Buffalo. Michigan State re-enters the conference slate with a 9-4 record. In December, Michigan State rattled off a 4-game winning streak with wins over Penn State, Brown, Oakland, and Buffalo.

Michigan State will try to work on the issues moving forward. In the 2nd game since the break concluded, Michigan State will host Nebraska on Tuesday, Jan. 3.
