Josh Bilicki reacts to strong showing in Spartans-themed car at Michigan International Speedway
Josh Bilicki brought Michigan State to NASCAR’s event at Michigan International Speedway. On Sunday, Bilicki drove a Spartan-themed racecar for the FireKeepers Casino 400.
In that event, Bilicki raced to a 21st place finish in the event. It marks back-to-back finishes inside the top 25 for Bilicki after finishing 22 in the Big Machine Vodka 400 last weekend.
After the race, Bilicki reacted to the performance while driving the No. 77 Michigan State ride. Bilicki also said he was able to spend some time with Michigan State’s Mel Tucker and Tom Izzo.
Solid P21 finish for us today at @MISpeedway! Another great points day for our 77 team. Loved repping @michiganstateu along with @zeigler_auto this weekend and it was awesome to spend time with @Coach_mtucker and Tom Izzo. Incredibly genuine guys but great leaders 💪 pic.twitter.com/UM10Q944V7

Along with dropping in on Bilicki, Tucker and Izzo were involved in the pre-race festivities Sunday. The two Spartan head coaches dropped an MSU twist to the traditional “start your engines” call.
