Katin Houser generates strong reaction for impressive first half as MSU’s starting QB

Katin Houser is getting his first taste of action as the starting quarterback for Michigan State. So far, that performance has come up all aces and has fans chiming in on social media.

Facing Rutgers, Houser was a perfect 4-for-4 with a touchdown pass on the opening drive of the game. He added to that tally with a rushing touchdown on a perfectly executed draw play.

Both scores the first of Houser’s career in East Lansing.

Heading into the break, Houser is now 11-for-18 for 92 yards and a touchdown against the Scarlet Knights. He has also picked up 29 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

While Houser did have an early fumble on a botched hand-off (which he recovered), he has been otherwise spotless in his first career start. The Spartans do have 2 turnovers, but those have come via fumbles from Montorie Foster Jr. and Alante Brown.
