Kendell Brooks signed with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent on Sunday. Brooks played in East Lansing from 2021-2022.

Brooks started his college career at Division II program North Greenville. He played there from 2018-2020. Brooks was not able to play in 2020 since North Greenville’s season was cancelled as a result of COVID-19.

Brooks later transferred to Michigan State and the rest was history.

Brooks accounted for 109 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and 3 forced fumbles from the 24 games he played in over the last two seasons.

The Spartans who were selected in the 2023 NFL Draft include WR Jayden Reed (Green Bay Packers), P Bryce Baringer (New England Patriots), and DB Ameer Speed (New England Patriots).

Reed finished second on the team in receiving yards (636) while also having 5 touchdowns in 2022. Baringer was a 2022 Ray Guy Award finalist after the stellar season he had. Speed played in all 12 games for the Spartans with 62 total tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 5 pass deflections.

Tradition will keep you posted on any other Spartans who sign with teams as undrafted free agents.
