Kenneth Walker III had a solid performance in his first NFL start as a rookie. The Seattle Seahawks went to him after a season ending injury to Rashaad Penny in Week 5.

Walker finished the game with 97 yards rushing and 1 touchdown. He played a big role in the win over the Arizona Cardinals. Walker scored Seattle’s only TD of the game in the fourth quarter. The rookie had an 11-yard scamper for a score in the 19-9 win.

Seattle is now 3-3 in what is once again a very close race in the NFC West. The San Francisco 49ers lost to the Atlanta Falcons and the L.A. Rams beat the Carolina Panthers. The Seahawks should now have the division lead after beating the Cardinals thanks to their record against NFC West teams.

With Penny now out for the season, Walker should continue to be the starter unless something drastic happens. Walker now has 243 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns on the season.

Seattle faces the L.A. Chargers in Week 7.
