Pete Carroll loves what he’s seeing from Kenneth Walker III.

The Seattle Seahawks coach gushed about Walker’s camp performance. Carroll called Walker a well-rounded back on track to be a 3-down contributor for the Seahawks, a timely detail considering veteran Rashaad Penny’s injury. Carroll pointed to pass-protection as a knock on Walker as a college running back, but says the former Michigan State standout has turned the page with that issue.

Brady Henderson of ESPN’s NFL Nation shared Carroll’s comments on Walker:

Walker had a sensational season for Michigan State in 2021, rushing 263 times for 1,636 yards and 18 touchdowns. He was named a Unanimous All-American, winning the Doak Walker Award and Walter Camp Award. The Seahawks took Walker with the No. 41 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
