Keon Coleman acknowledged his plans to enter the transfer portal in a message to Michigan State fans on Wednesday night.

Coleman, who established himself as one of the top young receivers in the country last season, thanked Spartans fans for their support. He also showed appreciation to the Michigan State coaching staff for helping to develop his talent over the past two seasons.

Here’s his message to Michigan State:

“I wanted to take the time and show my appreciation to you all,” he wrote. “I appreciate you all for taking me in with open arms and helping me become he player I am and the man I am off the field. I appreciate the everlasting support I’ve received in my time being here.

“To the coaching staff, thank you for giving me a chance to further my academic and athletic career here and I’m very appreciative of the growth development that has happened over these past few years. After careful consideration, I’ve decided to enter the transfer portal.”

Last season as a sophomore, Coleman caught 58 passes for 798 yards and 7 touchdowns.

His next destination is unknown, although Coleman is reportedly visiting Florida State this weekend. Coleman is originally from Opelousas, Louisiana.
