The special teams unit in East Lansing is getting a new addition.

Saturday afternoon, Michigan State received a commitment from 2020 kicker Jack Olsen. He made his announcement via Twitter, making it official that he will become a Spartan.

“I would like to thank Coach Dantonio and Coach (Shayne) Graham for putting your trust in me,” Olsen wrote on Twitter. “I am 100% committed to Michigan State. #GoGreen.”

Olsen becomes the sixth player to commit to Michigan State in the 2020 cycle. He does not have any rankings according to 247Sports, but he had received plenty of interest on the recruiting trail. Olsen had six total offers, choosing the Spartans over Army, Illinois State, Indiana, Miami (OH) and Yale.

Michigan State’s 2020 recruiting class is still a bit behind in terms of numbers and rankings. The Spartans have six hard commits in the class, ranking 59th nationally and 11th in the B1G.
