Michigan State seniors are celebrating four years of hard work this weekend, as the university holds graduation ceremonies as students prepare for their next journey in life.

Graduation from college is obviously a really special time, and there’s really nothing much that trumps the feeling of accomplishing that goal. But the day for Michigan State students was just a touch more special, as former Spartans and current Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins delivered the commencement speech.

Here’s just a brief snippet from Cousins’ commencement speech this weekend:

Cousins graduated from Michigan State in 2012 and used his spectacular college career at Michigan State to launch himself into a starting quarterback in the NFL.

For giving the commencement speech, Cousins received an honorary Doctor of Humanities degree.
