Kirk Cousins is in the middle of one of the best team starts of his NFL career with the Minnesota Vikings. Entering Sunday’s road game against the Washington Commanders, Cousins and the Vikings were 6-1.

For much of the game, it looked like Minnesota would be held in check with Washington building a 17-7 lead early in the 4th quarter. Then, Cousins and the offense responded.

The Vikings closed the game on a 13-0 run including Cousins tossing a game-tying touchdown to Dalvin Cook with just under 8 minutes remaining. The offense would also bleed out the clock with a 15-play drive late in the game before kicking a game-winning field goal with 12 seconds remaining.

When it was all said and done, Cousins finished with a 22-for-40 performance throwing the ball with 265 yards, 2 touchdowns and an interception. After the game, he broke down the team huddle in the locker room with his now-familiar tagline:

The Vikings are now 7-1 and have a commanding lead in the NFC North with multiple teams in the division struggling this year. We’ll see if Cousins and Minnesota can keep it rolling throughout November and into the playoffs.
