Kirk Herbstreit, David Pollack explain why MSU's offense 'most improved' in the country
Michigan State has been one of the most improved teams around the B1G this year and College GameDay has definitely noticed it.
Both Kirk Herbstreit and David Pollack went into detail on the show on how the Spartans’ offense has improved so rapidly from last season to this season.
“There is not a more improved team in the country offensively than Michigan State,” Herbstreit said. “Last year, they scored 18 points per game. This year, they’re averaging 36 points per game. A year ago they gave up 35 points per game, now they’re only giving up 19. They have completely reversed their fortunes on both sides of the ball. They’re starting to believe. They are a legitimately dangerous team.”
Pollack then chimed in with his thoughts and loves how fast the team has gotten overall.
“The most impressive thing (about Michigan State)? The infusion of speed. Michigan State will find big bodies, but to find guys like that — Jayden Reed, Kenneth Walker III — it’s been the perfect mix of bringing in the right guys.”
All of these factors have gotten the Spartans to 6-0 and No. 10 in the country coming into Saturday’s matchup against Indiana.
Kickoff will be at Noon ET and it’ll be televised by FS1.
