Michigan State running back Connor Heyward has put his pitch in to hopefully swing his former childhood teammate to the Spartans.
Defensive end Drew Jordan announced his intent to transfer from Duke on Dec. 15 and his commitment date is set for Thursday at 6 p.m. ET.

After this was tweeted out, Heyward quote tweeted it with his attempt to swing Jordan:

Before originally committing to Duke, Jordan was part of the class of 2017 where he was considered a four-star prospect. According to 247Sports, he was the 316th ranked player nationally and the 31st ranked player from Georgia.
Heyward was also a member of the 2017 class out of Georgia with both players hailing from Suwanee. Heyward was ranked as the 72nd player out of the state for that cycle.
Jordan had the best season of his career to date in 2020 as he had 35 total tackles (12 solo). He also had 3.5 sacks with three fumbles recovered. The only other season that compares to this one was his 2018 season. He had 33 tackles (24 solo) with 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble.
We’ll have to see if he potentially follows Heyward to Michigan State or if he chooses a different school when he officially announces his decision.
