Michigan State senior linebacker Riley Bullough will return to the starting lineup after missing the last three games with a shoulder injury, reports Detroit News writer Matt Charboneau.

Bollough, a key component to the Spartans’ defensive front seven, started 19 games from 2014-15 and has 101 career tackles (8.0 for loss), five sacks and two interceptions to his name. He recorded four tackles and a sack in the win vs. Notre Dame earlier this year, where he suffered the injury.

With three straight losses and in jeopardy of missing out on a bowl game for the first time under coach Mark Dantonio (who took over in 2007), Michigan State (2-3, 0-2) needs all the help it can get from its second-team All-Big Ten linebacker when it takes on Northwestern in East Lansing this afternoon at 3:30 p.m. ET.
