Rocky  Lombardi has never been lacking in arm strength, and he put it on full display for Wednesday night’s MACtion.

The former Spartan wound up at Northern Illinois after transferring out of East Lansing. He has guided the Huskies to a 6-3 record and is looking for win No. 7 vs. Ball State.

Lombardi was able to tie the score up late in the first half with an impressive deep ball with less than a minute remaining. His blocking held up and he was able to deliver a bullet on the money to his wide receiver over the top of the defense.

It went for 58 yards:

Coming into Week 11, Lombardi was looking good with the offense. He has thrown for 1,853 yards and 12 touchdowns with 6 interceptions while adding 346 yards rushing and 5 more touchdowns on the ground.

Best of luck to the former Spartan as he continues to find his way.
