Week 9 is setting up for a colossal top 10 matchup between rivals as No. 6 Michigan travel to East Lasing to face No. 8 Michigan State. College Gameday and Big Noon Kickoff will be at the game to prepare for this heated rivalry.

There will be a ton of pressure on both teams, but one person that has his full confidence in Michigan State and head coach Mel Tucker is 12-time NBA All-Star and Spartan alumni Magic Johnson.

Tucker had Johnson’s support and praise earlier in the year after Michigan State’s big win on the road vs. No. 24 Miami. Michigan State looks to extend its winning steak over Michigan to two games on Saturday. Th Spartans defeated Michigan last year with a 27-24 score in Ann Arbor.

In addition to bragging rights, position in the B1G East is up for grabs. The winner will remain tied atop the division with Ohio State, should the Buckeyes win against Penn State this weekend.
