Malik Hall announced Tuesday that he will be taking advantage of a 5th season in college basketball and will be returning to Michigan State for the 2023-24 season.
Hall is a strong player who suffered from his share of injury problems in 2022-23. He missed 8 straight games in late Novemeber/December with a foot injury before suffering a minor ankle injury a few weeks later. In total, Hall averaged 8.6 points across 23 games for the Spartans this past season.
Should he remain healthy, Hall will be a strong starter for Tom Izzo’s squad in his final year.

Hall’s teammate Tyson Walker announced Monday that he will also be returning for the Spartans next year, adding a pair of major offseason wins for Michigan State this past week. The Spartans should be a Preseason top 15 team to start next season, also boasting an impressive class that ranks No. 3 in the 2023 rankings.
