Malik Hall just recently returned to action for Michigan State, but he was looking good early against Michigan. After proving to be a catalyst in the first half of action, he was injured right before the halftime buzzer.
Competing for a loose ball, Hall took a hip check and foul from a Michigan player near the sideline. Hall’s left ankle/foot appeared to buckle after the contact, and he was in visible pain after the incident.

Hall did stay in the to shoot free throws, nailing both in a 1-and-1 situation to finish the half with a game-high 9 points. Hopefully, he’s able to finish the game and looks okay in the second half.
Hall has played two games since returning from a month-long absence while dealing with a foot injury. He has continued to round into form after getting back on the court, and Hall was a key factor in helping Michigan State build a 27-18 lead at the break of Saturday’s rivalry game.
