Michigan State hadn’t been having the season many were anticipating, but neither was Michigan. Yes, the Wolverines were favored to beat their in-state rival.

But, they weren’t supposed to beat them by 34 points. The final score was 44-10.

The 34-point loss was the worst for a Dantonio-led Spartans team against Michigan. It wasn’t pretty for either side of the ball.

After the game, Dantonio met with the media and talked about rallying back after the loss which puts his team at 4-6 overall:

Dantonio was also asked about potentially taking out QB Brian Lewerke. He wasn’t thinking about that:

Hopefully for Dantonio and the Spartans’ sake, the chemistry is good. If it isn’t it may be hard to win both of its last two games. If it doesn’t, Michigan State won’t be bowl eligible.

That wouldn’t be good if you’re Dantonio, who has heard rumblings regarding his job due to the team’s poor play.
