Mark Dantonio describes extreme lengths Kenny Willekes would go to in order to sack QB
It is true that Kenny Willekes is an elite pass rusher with a high motor.
Since 2017, Willekes has amassed 33.5 tackles for loss and 13.5 sacks. He turned in a brilliant 2018 season and is one of the best among a strong group of pass rushers in the B1G.
One thing that makes Willekes so tough is his relentless motor. He simply never gives up, and head coach Mark Dantonio had an interesting way to illustrate that Wednesday.

According to Matt Wenzel with MLive.com, Dantonio addressed Willekes’ effort during his weekly radio appearance on The Spartan Sports Network. Dantonio said Willekes is so relentless, if an offensive lineman were holding him, Willekes might just gnaw off his hand to go after the QB.
That’s certainly one way to put it:
While describing Kenny WIllekes as relentless, Dantonio says if an offensive lineman was holding him, he may gnaw his own hand off to get after the QB.

All we know is we don’t want to be the offensive lineman that has to block him. Willekes and the Spartans get their season rolling Friday night against Tulsa. Kickoff is set for 7 pm EST on FS1.
