Mark Dantonio responds to report with ‘fake news’ claim

It looks like Mark Dantonio did not agree with one report put out Tuesday morning.
According to a report from Perry A. Farrell with The Detroit Free Press, Dantonio made a visit to Walled Lake Western to speak with QB Sam Johnson III. Johnson is a 3-star QB that is committed to Boston College, but Farrell reported Dantonio’s visit was to attempt to flip Johnson’s commitment to the Spartans.
It is true that Michigan State does not currently have a quarterback signed to its 2019 class, according to 247 Sports. However, Dantonio did not agree with the report from Tuesday.
He responded to the story on Twitter, labeling it “fake news.” The tweet was quickly deleted, but here is a screenshot of his reply:
