It’s been no secret that Michigan State has fought the injury bug all season long. This week is no exception as the Spartans prepare for this weekend’s B1G East contest against Maryland.
As Michigan State enters the week, there are several players who are in question for this weekend’s game, including quarterback Brian Lewerke and cornerback Josiah Scott. Center Matt Allen is also ruled out this week and will not make the trip to Maryland.
Dantonio didn’t talk at length about injuries, but did provide some updates on key players. He also talked about moving forward after a good win over Purdue and preparing for the Terrapins’ explosive offense.
The head coach also doesn’t see the quarterback situation with Lewerke and Lombardi as a controversy, saying it’s a good problem to have.
Here are a few of the key things Dantonio said at his weekly press conference on Tuesday.
Dantonio calls Maryland "a very explosive football team right now" with its offense. "It'll be a great challenge for us."
