Max Christie currently plays for the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA after spending his college career at Michigan State. The Lakers selected Christie in the 2nd round of the 2022 NBA Draft.

Lakers beat reporter Mike Trudell posted an encouraging stat regarding Christie’s numbers as a rookie. Christie is making 47.8% of his three-pointers so far. It’s worth noting that Christie shot 63.2% from the floor in four games with Los Angeles’ G League team the South Bay Lakers.

Christie spent one season with the Spartans in 2022. Christie averaged 9.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. Christie also shot 38.2% from the floor and made 82.4% of his free throws at Michigan State.

The Spartans have produced players like Draymond Green and Jaren Jackson Jr. in the past.

The Lakers are 13-16 so far this NBA season. Christie has played in a total of 13 games averaging 3.6 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 0.4 assists. Los Angeles faces the Phoenix Suns next on Monday at 9 p.m. ET on NBA TV.

It’s early into Christie’s NBA career, but his numbers from three-point range look promising.
