Meals from Mel: Michigan State head coach purchases meals for local hospital workers
Michigan State head coach Mel Tucker wanted to show his appreciation for those working in the medical field during the ongoing pandemic. All medical and essential personnel are risking their health in order to help fight COVID-19.
To show his gratitude, Tucker bought meals to night-shift workers at Lansing’s Sparrow Hospital, as well as McLaren Greater Lansing.
“I just wanted to send a little thank-you dinner out tonight to all the night-shift nurses and doctors at Sparrow from Arcadia Smokehouse,” Tucker said in a video. “I deeply appreciate all that you are doing to help our community. Thank you again so much. Be safe and go green.”
Thanks to @MSU_Football Head Coach Mel Tucker and his family for donating meals to some of our incredible night shift at Sparrow Hospital. We are overwhelmed by the community support we’ve received. #GoGreenGoWhite pic.twitter.com/y7IxrWCcpT
