Michigan State head coach Mel Tucker and his Spartans had a terrible game in the 34-7 home loss to Minnesota as the home crowd booed the team. Tucker is not worried about the discouraging reactions from the home crowd of Michigan State as he assures fans the team will get better.

The Spartans started the 2022 season with two wins over Western Michigan and Akron. When it came for Michigan State to play Power 5 teams, the Spartans suffered two consecutive losses. Michigan State suffered its first loss of the season in Week 3 on the road 39-28 at Washington.

In Week 4, Michigan State was dominated by Minnesota 34-7 to start B1G play. The offense for Minnesota was able to accumulate 508 total yards, while the offense for Michigan State was able to account for only 240 yards.

Michigan State (2-2: 0-1) will look to rebound on road in Week 5 against Maryland (3-1; 0-1).
