Mel Tucker comments on WR Jayden Reed's injury
Jayden Reed left Saturday’s 52-0 blowout win over Akron with what appeared to be a left arm injury. Head coach Mel Tucker didn’t have an update immediately following the game and commented on his status Monday afternoon.
Tucker’s comments still don’t shine too much light on the subject.
Tucker says WR Jayden Reed was “sore” and “he’ll be ready when he’s ready.”

Tucker asked to clarify if Reed will be available Saturday: "Whenever that is." So no clarity. https://t.co/OGHyUfHqGM

Reed played well before exiting the game early. he hauled in 6 receptions for 76 yards, leading the team.
Reed is Michigan State’s top receiver this season after posting a 1,000 yard campaign in 2021. He’s totaled 8 receptions so far and would be a devastating blow were he to miss some time.
Tucker saying he was just sore is likely good news towards his return timetable. We’ll know for sure soon enough.
