Mel Tucker has updated the latest information regarding the status of one of the previously suspended Michigan State layers since Week 9. Tucker said that freshman cornerback Malcolm Jones was reinstated to the team and practiced with the team as the Spartans prepared for the Week 13 road game versus No. 11 Penn State.

Jones was not one of the seven players that were charged in the incident of players allegedly assaulting two players of Michigan in the shared tunnel of Michigan Stadium on Oct. 29.

Redshirt sophomore cornerback Khary Crump is being charged with felonious assault while star defensive player in senior edge rusher Jacoby Windmon is being charged with assault and battery.

Michigan State officially ends its 2022 season after losing to Penn State 35-16 in Week 13 with an overall record of 5-7. The Spartans were coming off a 39-31 double-overtime loss at home to Indiana in Week 12.
