Mel Tucker and Michigan State will be without one key defender for the rest of the season, the head coach of the Spartans announced Monday afternoon.
According to Tucker, linebacker Darius Snow will miss the remainder of the year after sustaining an injury against Western Michigan. Snow appeared in all 13 games of the 2021 season, including 9 starts to finish the year.
Snow had 2 tackles against the Broncos before going down with his injury.
Michigan State coach Mel Tucker says Darius Snow is out for the year. Xavier Henderson is "sore…and he'll be ready when he's ready."

Mel Tucker said LB Darius Snow is out for the year. "I feel terribly for him. he worked hard and was playing at a high level." Says Xavier Henderson "is sore, so we'll just have to see how he comes along with his treatment. But he'll be ready when he's ready."

Fortunately, the news on Xavier Henderson is promising. The key safety is “sore” per Tucker and did not provide an update on the injury timetable for Henderson.
At least when it comes to Henderson, it does not sound like the injury is a season-ending one. Hopefully, he’s able to return to action quickly, but Snow’s absence will certainly be missed.
