Mel Tucker explains Michigan State's recent struggles: 'It's death by inches for us'
Mel Tucker and Michigan State football started out strong and has since faltered in B1G play. The Spartans have lost 3 straight, including a pair of conference games to Minnesota and Maryland.
Tucker detailed what has gone wrong the past few weeks, noting execution as the main culprit. He says the Spartans are far from done and have yet to play their best football.
MSU coach Mel Tucker at the podium. “It’s a death by inches for us. It’s all about execution. The question is how do you get better execution? That’s our job, that’s what we’re working on now.” Says the Spartans “best football is ahead of us.”

The Spartans can certainly turn things around in Week 6, but it’s about as hard a challenge as they could ask for. Ohio State comes to town Saturday at 4 p.m. EST.
