Mel Tucker isn’t messing around on Saturday morning. He’s making it pretty clear that he has some pretty strong feelings when it comes to the Michigan State-Michigan rivalry.
Saturday, the second-year leader of the Spartans made an appearance on ESPN’s College GameDay, which was live from East Lansing. He was asked about keys to the game during a short interview, but was later asked for his real thoughts on UM.
Tucker’s response ignited an already excited crowd Saturday morning.
“Yeah, I don’t like Michigan,” Tucker responded.
Rece: “What are your real feelings about Michigan?”

Tucker has often referred to Michigan as “That team down the road.” It’s similar to Urban Meyer consistently referring to UM as “That Team Up North,” or simply, “the Wolverines.”
The Michigan State-Michigan rivalry game doesn’t need any additional fuel this season. Both teams enter the contest at 7-0 with a chance to get one step closer to a B1G East title and a College Football Playoff berth.
Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. ET on FOX.
