Mel Tucker, MSU trolls 'keep chopping' in locker room following win over Rutgers
While the talk around college football has been the Iowa Hawkeyes and the reemergence of the Michigan Wolverines, the Michigan State Spartans have themselves quietly put together an undefeated season thus far.
The No. 11 Spartans took care of Rutgers Saturday 31-13, to move to 6-0 on the season and continue their march toward the Big Ten Championship game if they can continue to win.
Michigan State head coach Mel Tucker posted this on Twitter after Sparty’s victory Saturday night:
“When you can be great, why settle for anything else?” #KeepChoppin 🪓

As you can see from the video, Tucker and his team were very excited about their victory. If the Spartans take care of business against Indiana Saturday, it sets up a huge matchup against rival Michigan on October 30.
This battle could end up deciding who will represent the Big Ten East in the Big Ten Championship Game.
