Mel Tucker on Michigan State's win over Michigan: 'This is a football school'
Michigan State head coach Mel Tucker has declared the university “a football school” after its latest win against No. 6 Michigan.
It’ll likely go down as one of the best games played in this rivalry as the Spartans erased an 8-point deficit going into the 4th quarter to win, 37-33.
Tucker spoke about this win after the game and said that the fans and students deserve to see winning football and it’s what they deserve.
Tucker: "This is a football school. There's a lot of pride and tradition at Michigan State. And this is what our fans deserve. … They deserve to see winning football and have a coaching staff and players who appreciate it."

This win got the Spartans to 8-0 as they’re looking to potentially get to the B1G Championship Game at the end of the season. Kenneth Walker III had perhaps his best game of the season as he finished with 23 carries for 197 yards and 5 touchdowns.
He was the Spartans offense as quarterback Payton Thorne couldn’t do much of anything. He finishes with 196 yards passing with no touchdowns and 2 interceptions.
MSU then finished the game with an interception with a minute remaining to knock off Michigan.
