No. 7 Michigan State rebounded following their loss to an unranked Purdue in Week 10 with a 40-21 win at home over Maryland.

The players were hyped after beating Maryland, but they are more hyped on next week’s big matchup on the road in Columbus to face No. 4 Ohio State.

Despite the early attention being brought to next Saturday’s matchup versus Ohio State, Michigan State head coach Mel Tucker says they will still take the 24-hour rule to celebrate the win over Maryland before they shift their focus on their matchup.

“We got a process,” Tucker said, per 247Sports. “We’re gonna do what we do. We have a 24-hour rule, and then we’ll get ready for the next one. It’s November, and we know what’s at stake. The preparation is gonna be there. Like I just said, we’re gonna look at the film and we’re gonna get ready for the next one. We have some things we need to clean up and we’re gonna try to get some guys back. We’ll just keep choppin’. Two plus two is four. It’s not gonna change. We gotta do what we gotta do. We got a process, we’re gonna stick with it.”

Michigan State looks to shed a five-game losing streak versus Ohio State. The last time Michigan State defeated Ohio State 17-14 on November 21st, 2015 in Columbus, Ohio.
