Mel Tucker shows appreciation to Michigan State student section following Western Kentucky win
Well, look who has started off to a 5-0 start to begin the 2021 season? The Michigan State Spartans.
While the talk around college football has been about Michigan, Penn State and Iowa — all off to undefeated seasons — the Spartans, under head coach Mel Tucker, are quietly having a pretty good season themselves so far.
Tucker showed his appreciation to the fans after their 48-31 victory over Western Kentucky by giving some love to the Michigan State student section. He thanked the students for sticking around knowing that their opponent wasn’t exactly equal to their regular Big Ten opponents.

Not only are they 5-0 which includes victories at Miami, but they also are undefeated in conference play at 2-0. Tucker’s team got off to a rough start last year, which had some wondering if he was the right man for the job, but Spartan fans seem to be pleased with their head coach of late.
Michigan State will next face Rutgers next Saturday.
