Mel Tucker updates status of MSU WR Ricky White, DB Michael Gravely
There’s still not much word on wide receiver Ricky White and defensive back Michael Gravely. The two have not been around the team much in fall camp.
During Tuesday’s press conference, Spartans head coach Mel Tucker confirmed the White and Gravely have not been participating in team activities.

White was the star of MSU’s win over Michigan last season and set a freshman receiving record. Gravely enrolled in January. https://t.co/LfLtF9SGnD

White had a career game last season during the Spartans win over Michigan, with a 200-yard plus showing. He has yet to be seen practicing this season.
That would be a big blow to Michigan State’s receiving corps, as White is considered one of the top players of the group.
Similarly, Gravely has yet to practice after the three-star safety came to East Lansing. The 6-foot-1, 193-pound true-freshman DB had offers from West Virginia, Cincinnati Temple and Pitt.
It’s unclear whether either will be permitted to return.
