Michigan, Michigan State baseball players share pre-game moment of prayer for shooting victims
Michigan and Michigan State are taking part in an early-season baseball tournament in Arizona. The two in-state rivals are also facing off Friday night for the first time in 2023.
Prior to that matchup, the two sides were seen engaging in a moment of silence and prayer for the victims of the recent tragic shooting in East Lansing. That shooting claimed the lives of 3 Spartan students and sent another 5 to the hospital with critical injuries.
While certainly an understandable moment, it is still an awesome moment of solidarity between the two bitter rivals on the field:

Michigan State is also wearing a “Spartan Strong” decal on batting helmets to open the season. Michigan will wear something similar and the Wolverines have announced a number of ways the school will honor those impacted by the recent events.
