Mark Dantonio and the Michigan State coaching staff continue to take care of business on the home front.

On Saturday, the Spartans received a commitment from 6-foot-3, 200-pound wide receiver Ian Stewart. The three-star wide receiver is a native of Rockwood, Michigan and becomes the third in-state player to join the 2020 class.

Stewart made his announcement via Twitter.

“First I just wanna thank god & everyone who has helped position me to be able to be where I’m at today, this journey couldn’t have happened without everyone of you and I’m truly grateful,” Stewart wrote. “I would like to thank every coach for believing in me to play at the next level, that is truly humbling. With that being said I’ve decided I am committing to Michigan State University.”

Stewart is listed as the No. 15 player out of Michigan and is a top 100 receiver in the 2020 recruiting class, per 247Sports. Overall, he’s ranked as the 509th prospect in the cycle.

Michigan State now has four members in its 2020 class. Stewart is the second-highest rated player in the Spartans’ class currently, behind four-star safety Darius Snow.

Prior to Stewart’s commitment, Michigan State’s 2020 recruiting class ranked 11th in the B1G and 56th nationally.
