Mel Tucker’s Michigan State staff has something extra to celebrate this Easter Sunday. MSU added to its 2023 class with a commitment from cornerback Eddie Pleasant III out of Tampa, Florida.

“The process has been a dream come true. Hard work, dedication and faith have allowed me to get to this point,” Pleasant wrote in his commitment announcement posted on his Twitter account.

A Carrollwood Day High School product, Pleasant is listed at 6-feet, 175 pounds and rated 3-stars, the No. 61 cornerback, No. 105 Sunshine State recruit and No. 701 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite. He has picked up 16 scholarship offers, including Iowa and Penn State.
